Flirty Summer Date Night

Summer date nights are my favorite! I'm such a primper when it comes to getting ready for date night and I love that warm weather calls for something a little more flirty and fun.
The hubs and I are getting ready for a weekend getaway soon so I thought it'd be fun to share a casual date night outfit with you.

First up, I've been loving this sunless tanner my friend, Jennifer Duvall of JennySue Makeup, recommended to me. I apply it wearing gloves post-shower and go to bed. When I wake up, my skin looks like I've been at the beach for a week (minus the sun damage, yay!)! Sometimes I'll apply it in the mornings if I know I'm going to be home all day and just walk around in a loose romper. It doesn't leave me feeling sticky like a professional spray tan does and this one dries fast. I'm fair skinned but the med-dark is perfect!

Makeup is simple with a tinted moisturizer, concealer only where needed, my favorite highlighter (used as highlight and eye shadow), black cat eye, mascara, and lipstick. I want my skin looking healthy and glowing! Find my favorite tinted moisturizer and highlighter here.

My favorite eyeliner is Stila Stay All Day Waterproof in Intense Black. Click here to read which lipsticks I'll be rocking all summer long!

I found this really fun off the shoulder top at Entourage and I have worn it so many times!! I lovve that off the shoulder tops are still going strong. They show off the decolletage and are sexy and elegant at the same time.

After reading The Way She Wears It, I've been trying different prints and colors than my usual choices and it has me falling hard for yellow and floral prints. This top happens to combine the two! It is so comfortable and looks great with blue jeans, white denim, and I've even worn it with taupe linen pants. It is surprisingly versatile. Plus I feel so bright and cheerful wearing it! Perfect for an adventure on the town with my man.

The denim skirt has seen a revival over the past couple of years and I found this one at a thrift store for $6. It was ankle length so I took it over to Community and had them hem it up for me. If it hadn't had buttons up the front, it would've looked great simply cut off. The button up look will take me into fall though, with a great pair of suede thigh high boots. The total cost for this skirt ended up being around $12! You can't find one in any stores I've seen for less than that!

Don't forget to add highlight to that collarbone too!

This pearl necklace is from Entourage as well and looks great tied in a bow or left long and loose!

Espadrilles are summer staples and I've had these Jimmy Choo snakeskin ones for about 4 or 5 years. I saw some similar to these a few weeks ago at Agora in downtown Athens if you're in the market for some! I love that these are neutral in color but have a little edge to them. Espadrilles are so comfortable and pretty and are perfect for taking you from Happy Hour all the way through dinner.

My clutch was a purchase from BMA At Home. This clutch is handmade and the artist, Margaret Vera, was there monogramming bags herself one day. I think I own only one other thing with a monogram on it - it's usually a little too preppy for me, but this silver foil on weathered grey leather is killer!! I'm obsessed! My art studio is next door to  BMA and I know they have more styles in the shop than are listed online, so call to see what options they have in stock! They'd be happy to text you photos of their selections.

This cuff was a birthday gift from my sweet mama. Love her!!

I can't wait to get away with my husband for a couple of days! We always have such good conversation when we make time for a date. I would love to hear what your go-to's for date-night are! What's one thing you wear that makes you feel fun and flirty?? Tell me in the comments!
